Floatation Therapy

Float Therapy or R.E.S.T. (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Treatment) has been described as "meditation for lazy people."  Your experience begins as you enter your private room and shower.  Climb into your personal Float Pod filled with a dense Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate or epsomite) warmed to body temperature.  Adjust your music or lighting and lay down.  The superior buoyancy of the salt solution produces a near zero gravity experience.  All that remains is to close your eyes and melt.

 Float therapy has been reported as very beneficial.  Some people have reported that a one hour float session is like four to eight hours of deep sleep.  Scientific research has confirmed that floating reduces cortisol levels in the blood - a key stress hormone responsible for much of the tissue damage that chronic stress produces.  Chronic pain sufferers frequently report significant pain relief while floating.  For many, this persists for hours or days after a float session.  With repeated treatment some people appear to establish new set points in the body - allowing them to cut back on pain medication.
